Emergency Car Kits

Emergency situations along the road come without notice. However, you can always do the necessary precautionary measures and preparations. One effective way is by preparing an emergency car kit before hitting the road. An emergency tool kit can be very helpful during breakdowns and unusual weather conditions. It is always good to keep essential supplies in your car in case you get stranded for a long time.

Car Tools and Kit. You should always bring an emergency box located in your trunk whenever you drive. This emergency box should contain items that can help you to fix your car. First thing you should have is a flashlight. You will need this in case your car stops at night. Jumper cables are also important when your vehicle stops because the car battery is low. Also make sure that you have a set of screw drivesr, jack, and spare tire. Always bring an empty gallon in case you need to walk to a gas station. Of course, you should have a warning signal.

Kit For Passengers. Passengers should also bring their own kits. A conventional first aid kit can be very helpful when someone gets hurt or injured. It is also important to have a blanket, especially during winter. Also pack some foods and drinks. Bring foods that are non-perishable such as energy bars. You can also ask your family and friends to pack a similar kit so that they, too, will be protected.

Other Emergency Kits. There are other kits that can be helpful when there's an emergency. Maps, for example, are important when you get lost. Whistle or flare can be utilized to attract attention. A collapsible shovel for your car may come in handy if you get stuck in the snow or mud. You can also bring other supplies such as duct tape, tow rope or chains, fire extinguisher, axe, emergency candles or liquid paraffin candles and a multi-purpose knife. Keep your kit in a compact case so it fits easily in your trunk or under a seat.

Remember, the more supplies you bring, the better your situation will be!
